Biologist (specialized in Botany, the Universitat de Barcelona), founder and director of Cultivos Forestales y Micológicos, Mariano Casas is a pioneer in trufficulture in Spain.
During the second half of the 1980s, he collaborated with the first companies that commercialized mycorrhizated seedlings in Spain.
Since then, he has tirelessly researched the cultivation of truffles, perfecting mycorrhizated seedlings and opening up new paths in the sector. He has provided seedlings and professional advice to hundreds of truffle growers and has given numerous courses and seminars on the subject.
His blog is a reference for all those interested in growing the different varieties of truffles and the king trumpet mushroom. He also grows trees for hardwood production (walnut trees) and micecardo (inoculated field eryngo).
